This study aimed to determine the efficiency of repetitive harvesting method (staggered harvesting) on G-zero tuber production. On the first trial (on-station), repetitive harvesting was done at the same growing period on 'Granola' and 'Igorota'. On the second trial (on-farm), the treatment 3x repetitive harvesting was done at 45, 60, 75 and DAP in varieties Granola and Raniag while 60, 75 and 100 DAP in varieties Igorota and Solibao. In the 2x repetitive harvesting treatment, harvesting was during 45 and 75 DAP in 'Granola' and 'Raniag' while 75 and 100 DAP in 'Igorota' and 'Solibao'. In 1x harvesting treatment (conventional harvesting), harvesting was done once at the senescence periods of the potatoes. Repetitive harvesting markedly increased the number of tubers harvested per unit area but not on the weight of tubers. In the first trial, repeatedly harvested tubers of 'Igorota' and 'Granola' had a corresponding average number of 367 and 410 tuber pieces per sq m, against one time harvesting method with 154 and 167 tuber pieces. Similar result was observed in the second trial, where repetitive harvesting in the four varieties (Granola, Igorota, Solibao and Raniag) increased the number of tubers produced more than twofold than when tubers were harvested once during the growing period. Economic analysis revealed that higher return on cash expenses (ROCE) if repetitive harvesting of tubers was done rather than in the 1x harvesting method in both trials. Even with the additional labor cost incurred in the repetitive harvesting, it was compensated by the more number of tubers produced, since tubers are sold by the pieces not by weight.
