The Proceedings included subjects on land degradation by saline water and evaluation of the lands affected by salinity. The Salt balance was also discussed especially in the lands cultivated by cotton and irrigated by saline water. The alternated and continuous irrigation was also discussed. A mathematical model for salt and water movement in non saturated layers was prepared and presented in one paper. The participated countries were Egypt, Algeria and Syria.
