Qualitative and quantitative vertical distribution of green algae along with the physico-chemical properties of soil at 0-12 from tobacco field of Mardan

From a collection of green algal species of various localities from tobacco field of Mardan, 39 species belonging to 12 genera, 7 families, 3 orders and 2 classes of the phylum Volvophycota and Xanthophycota were identified. The aim of the present study was to determine the qualitative, quantitative and vertical distributions (1-12 inches) of green algal species at a tobacco field along with physico-chemical properties of soil and their uses and importance.
