The biodiversity of weeds on willow (Salix viminalis L.) in the Pogorze Cieszynskie

The research related to the changes of species composition in Salix viminalis was carried out in 2004-08. They covered the land the land under cultivation in Pogorze Cieszynskie in towns: Grodziec Slaski, Pogorze and Wilamowice. On the given land the plantations of S. viminalis were not frequent and they do not exceed 3 ha of area. After cultivation, the number of plant species amounted from 49 (Pogorze) to 63 (Wilamowice). After the first crop, a decrease was observed. The most frequently occiring species were those typical and distinctive for the classes: Artemisietea vulgaris, Molinio-Arrhenatheretea, Querco-Fagetea, Stellarietea mediae. The analysis of the species composition signifies that establishing the cultivation results in the presence of species typical of the previous usage and the first crop is followed by a decrease in the number of species
