Eimeriosis in sheep is a widespread protozoan disease of great economic importance. It is cause by different species belonging to the genus Eimeria (Sporozoasida: Eimeriidae). Some of them are highly pathogenic, while other species cause no symptoms of the disease. After partial autopsy of three months aged lamb, in the small intestine many spherical or elliptical in shape papilloma-like lesions from 4 to 12 mm in length were established. Light microscopic examination of these formations showed the presence of schisonts and none sporulated oocysts. The lack of clinical signs, age of the studied lamb, and morphological characteristics of the findings that match those known to eimeriosis in sheep caused by E. ovina synonimus with E. bakuensis give a reason to be considering that this is a rare intestinal polyposis in the lamb after eimerian invasion.
