Variability of yield components in peppermint was analysed during the two year period. The following traits were studied: plant height (cm), plant weight (g), leaf weight (g), number of leaves, leaf area (square cm), branch weight with stalks (g), and branch number (with stalks). The traits of the population were quantified over mean, variance and coefficient of variations. Relatively high variations were found for the plant weight, leaf weight, leaf number and branch weight with stalks. The following traits were positively and very significantly correlated: plant weight/leaf weight, plant weight/branch weight (with stalks), leaf weight/branch weight (with stalks), leaf weight/branch number (with stalks) and leaf number/branch number (with stalks). The harvest index was connected to the weight, the leaf area and the branch weight (with stalks). This could be of practical importance in selection of peppermint genotypes with improved traits.
