The effect of vegetative rootstocks PCK-77 and GF 655.2 on vigour, fruit traits and yield of plum cultivars Čačanska Lepotica, Čačanska Rodna and Stanley was studied. The studied cultivars exhibited higher vigour on PCK-77, and lower on GF 655.2 rootstocks. The size and the weight of fruits and stones, the flesh content and soluble solids did not differ greatly over all the rootstock/cultivar variants. In all the studied cultivars, yields (kg/tree) were higher by 11.8 kg (33.2%) in trees grown on PCK-77 rootstock than in those grown on GF 655.2.. In Čačanska Lepotica, Čačanska Rodna and Stanley this difference amounted to 13.9 kg (35.2%), 16.5 kg (33.8%) and 4.8 kg (16.4%), respectively. Highly significant differences were recorded in all cultivar/rootstock variants. According to obtained results, PCK-77 may be recommended as a very good moderately vigorous rootstock.
