Different training systems of growing grapes expresses a significant effect on the properties of grape cultivars. This effect is especially pronounced in ampelographic cluster properties. Rarely both growing systems (classical and with backrest) can be compared under completely identical conditions. Such a possibility was provided in Zaječar vineyards (Serbia). The cultivars Afus-ali and Muscat Hamburg were grown in different systems, and tests encompassed ampelographic properties cluster such as: cluster length, cluster weight, stem length and number of berries per a cluster. The training system with backrests was advantageous in relation to ampelographic cluster properties. Cultivars exhibited higher values of ampelographics cluster properties in this system.
