The main constituents of Ferula heuffelii oil are phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes, and differences between the samples from different localities are mainly quantitative. Tested oil showed stronger antimicrobial activity then the previously investigated oil from underground parts of Ferula glauca L., while spasmolytic effect was similar to one of oil from underground parts of Ferula gummosa Boiss.
