Start of the production of light tractors, which are competitive in their quality and affordable to family households in Serbia, would provide the basis for unemployment reduction and export increase. Tractors placement on the EU market is conditioned by the EC tractor type approval procedure. The purpose of the tractor type approval procedure is to increase the road safety, protect the environment and reduce the risks to the tractor’s operator. Manufacturers can have their tractors and tractor components tested at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad (Serbia), and those test results are valid all over the world. This provides lower costs of both production and placement.
