In the process of decision making in different situations, in order to find the best - the optimal solution, can be used numerous methods and techniques that are based on practical solving of multi-criteria problem. One widely used mathematical method is PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations). Its simple mathematical apparatus and software support makes it very convenient and effective for use in decision-making in various areas. The paper outlines the theoretical basis of this method, and then presents a practical application for the selection of the optimal tractor system. We present two variants of PROMETHEE methods and their comparative data analysis. Also, we provide a comparative analysis of results with the results obtained by methods IKOR and Zoka (presented in the works in 2006. And 2008.) The conclusions obtained by the applied techniques give us much help to make the optimal choice of tractor or other variants of technical systems.
