The aim of this study was to show the presence of certain tissues in the main parts of the carcass of different pig breeds (Landrace, Yorkshire and Hampshire). Between races there was no significant difference in carcass weight as a percentage of representation in certain parts of the carcass. Most part of the carcass is hem, with about 29% share. Comparing within the breeds, there is no statistically significant differences in the percentage of meat between two fertile breeds, while there is a statistically significant difference between the two fertile and terminal breed. The breed has a highly significant effect on the amount of meat in carcass.
