The aim was to determine the impact of various agricultural measures on the early growth of pepper. Earliness of pepper is caused by agricultural management practices as applied and the growing conditions during production. To determine the effect of different production methods pepper is grown by direct sowing, the seedlings and bare container vessels in the open field, in a greenhouse with mulching film, mulching with straw and with the use of agril. The results clearly indicate that pepper seedlings from the container have the shortest growing season until the first harvest. Mulching and cover with agril belong to the cultural practices which also contribute to an early harvest of peppers. Mulching with straw in extremely hot areas or years may have an extremely negative effect on the earliness and yield of pepper. For direct sowing pepper production occurs much later in the fruits of education compared to other modes of production.
