Microorganisms present the biotic component of soil and their abundance is an indicator of soil quality. The number of microorganisms in agro-ecosystems affects the physical and chemical properties, environmental conditions, cultural practices, etc. The aim of this study was to determine the number of microorganisms present in agro-ecosystems. The number of Azotobacter, Actinomycetes, fungi and total number of microorganisms in the soil were determined. The number and structure of microbial communities differ in different soil types, so the tested soils were sampled from two locations, which varied in their physical and chemical characteristics. The results show that the microorganisms are mostly present in varying numbers in the tested soils.
