Banat Plain ends on the south-east of Vojvodina by the sudden float of the mountains from which the view in the far dominates, since there are no hills arround which would hinder the view. The highest peak in Vojvodina is also here (Guduricki or Kudricki vrh 641 m). The mountains consist mainly of augen gneisses and granites, which slowly turn into mica schists on the east. The augen gneisses are in the fact the crystals of Karlesbad twins, albites and orthoclases. The pseudomorphoses on Karlesbad twins have been noticed, too, and the assumption on the genesis of this pseudomorphose have been given. These rocks, and especially micaschists, are somewhere broken by pegmatities, which contain, except quartz and feldspar, the minerals of the micaceous group (muscovite, biotite, illitite, sericite...) and tourmaline. For this last mineral, the unit cell was measured by the roentgen diffraction analysis in order to determine the type of tourmaline. In the eastern parts of these mountains, it is also possible to find sulphide and oxide mineralizations, as well as geikielite, MgTiO3.
