Development of a rapid UHPLC-HESI-MS/MS method for analysis of selected pesticides and their degradation products

A rapid ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with heated electrospray ionization coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-HESI-MS/MS) method for the analysis of selected pesticides and their degradation products has been developed. The chemical diversity of the analytes required the application of the positive as well as the negative ion HESI mode. Thanks to the fast high-resolution or UHPLC and the enhanced selectivity obtained with the triple quadrupole mass analyzer in selected reaction monitoring (SRM) mode, pesticides were separated by gradient elution in 10 min.
