English. From point of floristic view, Turkey is one of the richest centers in the world. According to plant geography the study area is in the Colchis sector of Euro-Siberian region and it refers to A7-A8 squares in Davis's grid system. In this study, the natural woody taxa were reviewed from literature and the importance of these taxa in landscape architecture, traditional medical treatment, and modern medicine science were listed. Also the information about the importance of these plants for human health and environmental planning and further studies about this subject were provided.

Araştırma alanı, bitki coğrafyası bakımından Euro_Siberian (Avrupa_Sibirya) flora alanının Colchis (Kolşik) kısmında yer alıp Davis'in grid kareleme sistemine göre A7_A8 karelerinde kalır. Bu araştırmada, çalışma alanında bulunan doğal odunsu taksonlar belirlenerek, bunların peyzaj mimarlığı ve halk hekimliğindeki önemleri ortaya koyulmuştur. Ayrıca bu bitkilerin insan sağlığı ve çevre düzenlemesi için önemi araştırılarak, bu konuyla ilgili yapılmış çalışmalara yer verilmiştir.
