The Business Ethics and Integrity Office 2000 annual report : building a framework of integrity

This annual report of the Business Ethics and Integrity Office (BEI) details the activities it undertook to support the World Bank's commitment to ethical conduct in the workplace. Its role is to support three major initiatives: WBG Grievance Reform, WBG anti-corruption, and Control Environment (COSO) implementation. Activities in support of outreach included the distribution of the Code of Professional Ethics, participation in new employee inductions, delivering integrity awareness and integrity in our workplace seminars, the construction of the ethics website and a virtual business ethics resource center, and partnering with other Bank departments, governments, and nongovernmental entities, as well as publishing on-line the standards and procedures for inquiries and investigations and procedures for responding to staff concerns.
