Show more [+] Less [-]For a spherical acoustic wave incident on a horizontallystratified ocean bottom, the reflected pressure field and theplane-wave reflection coefficient are related through a two-dimensionalspatial-wavenumber Fourier transform. An algorithmis proposed to evaluate the plane-wave reflection coefficientfrom the bottom reflected field as a function of angle ofincidencè.The algorithm is based on the "Projection-Slice" theoremassociated with the two-dimensional Fourier transform. Thistechnique is implemented to evaluate the plane-wave reflectioncoefficient for a perfectly reflecting ocean bottom and for anisovelocity-low speed ocean bottom model.
