The study was conducted in the period 2009 – 2011. Characteristics were studied in two populations composed of seminal F1 and F2 generation of Bulgarian lavender varieties in the third, fourth and fifth years of cultivation. There are morphological indicators for each year of cultivation, the content of essential oil in fresh flowers 1.52 to 2.18% extraction of fresh flowers to 670 kg/da and essential oils to 14.6 kg/da. It was found that all the major chemical components of essential oil responsible for content on the Bulgarian and French standard of lavender oil in gas chromatography made. In both populations there were no deviations from standards and made the physic-chemical analysis. Major differences between both populations in all investigated parameters were not observed.
