Quality of semen and reproductive ability of boars of different breeds | Качество спермопродукции и воспроизводительная способность хряков разных пород

In course of the research there was determined usage efficiency of boars of different breeds in a commercial cross breeding system in the conditions of a pig complex of a Joint Stock Company 'Domanovichi' (Kalinkovichi, Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus). As a result of realized research it was revealed that boars of breed Landras in comparison with breed Jorkshir had about identical indicators. At the import animals bought in Poland, plumpness (62.3%) was above, than at domestic (59.8%). Boars of breed Landras on the average had 60.3%, Jorkshir – 59.% of meat. Boars of breed Landras had the greatest ejaculate volume - on the average 271 ml, that above an average on herd on 7.4% possessed. The ejaculate volume at Jorkshir breed was below an average on herd on 4.9% (240 ml). At the majority of boars the breeding efficiency indicator was above the technological specification (75%). The breed Petren had the best reproductive ability among all other boars - 88%. The majority of signs of own efficiency and quality of semen production at boars had among themselves weak and average negative relations.
