Physical and mathematical properties of semi-liquid manure play an important role while working out and developing of equipment for manure treatment. Liquid manure is a poly-disperse system, consisting of dry matter, micronized parts and gases. Structure of liquid manure determines its rheological properties (ultimate shearing resistance and viscosity), which reflect ability of flowing and deformations. The basic flow properties of semi-fluid manure which are necessary for designing of spreaders are considered, the mathematical models describing a viscous current of manure weight and it thixotropic restoration are resulted. Schemes of rotation viscosity analyzers are shown. Dependence of tangential shearing stress on friction velocity is displayed. Characteristics, reflecting the most important properties of semi-liquid manure, appear the base for calculation of losses of pressure in loading tube of machines. During projecting of machines for manure treatment rheological properties of semi-liquid manure should be connected with agro technical requirements and working processes. Changeability of liquid manure, its thixotropic reconstruction and ability to precipitation are the factors directly influencing on development of rational schemes of fertilizing equipment and parameters of working devices.
