In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the possibility of substitutuion of traditional light sources by lamps of new generation and there was studied the influence of sources of various spectral structure on Spirulina. In course of the study there was applied strain Spirulina (Arthrospira) platensis Geitl PPMSU-59 from the collection of Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russian Federation). Using for Spirulina cultivation of lamps TL-D36/54-765 and L36W/77 FLUORA leads to economy of the electric power, growth of productivity and allows receiving the increased contents of proteins and pigments (especially phycocyanin) in algae biomass in comparison with the biomass of cyanobacteria cultivated at illumination by lamps SL40W/32-765. It was also shownin case of illumination of Spirulina by lamps with light of different spectral composition (white, yellow, red and blue), the yellow light causes increase in the content of protein, carotinoids, phycocyanin and chlorophyll in the biomass by 17, 8, 20 and 8 % respectively. At the same time, red light caused the lowering of protein, chlorophyll and carotinoids content.
