In the Republic of Belarus at present time the problem of regulation of physiological and biochemical processes of crops of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) during the pre-harvest period for the purpose of improvement of technological qualities of root crops proved to be a problem of current interest. With this aim there were organized several experiments with application of foliar fertilizing of sugar beet crops during the pre-harvest period by the inhibiting doses of solutions of a physiologically-active substance Ekosil and a solution of potash saltpeter in 2008-2009 at APC 'Koptevka' of the Grodno region (Belarus). As a result of researches it has been established that application of foliar fertilizing of crops of sugar beet in 21 days prior to harvesting period with the oppressing doses of the growth regulator Ekosil and a solution of potash saltpeter made it possible to raise the yielding capacity of the crop on 49-75 centner/hectare and 44 centner/hectare respectively. The basic characteristic defining the effectiveness of any agricultural technique is the indicator of an obtained additional net income. In our researches all studied variants were economically efficient as have allowed to receive in addition a net profit at a rate of 277,6-452,2 thousand Belarusian rubles/hectare.
