Studies on production of stable form of transgene potato(Solanum tuberosum) with coat protein (CP) gene of potato virus Y (PVY) and safety assessment of transgene growing were studied in the conditions of a specialized experimental ground (polygon). Studies were realized in the central part of the Republic of Belarus at the experimental plot which plot which corresponded to the biosafety requirements of Belarus. In course of the study the highest practical value was presented by transgenic samples of Belorusskij 3 variety with the CP gene of PVY. Owning to realization of long-term field tests on the basis of RPC of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Potato, Fruit and Vegetable Growing there were allocated stable potato forms with occurrence of a target trait 'resistance to PVY' with preservation of initial characteristic. In the analysed construction there were marked sources of virus resistance, were realized saturating crosses, there were produced hybrids with stable display of 'Y-virus resistance of potato' trait. There was realized biosafety assessment of transgene samples (possibility of horizontal gene transfer). In the course of experiment was set random character of marker traits in sexual progeny of transgenic plants of potato. Besides there were made tests on finding consequences of transgene potato introduction into the agrocoenosis, i. e. the assessment test for biosafety for the environment.
