In course of the research there was carried out the ecological monitoring of water-supply sources of pig-breeding complex and adjoining human settlements according to year season in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. As a result of the research it was revealed an influence of pig-breeding complex wastes by capacity of 54 thousand pigs in a year on water quality in nearby water-supply sources. Technogenic influence of a livestock complex on water quality on distance of 12 km from cattle-breeding object was noted. Organoleptic properties of potable water in investigated water-supply sources changed depending on a year season and source remoteness. The greatest changes in water were characteristic for such indicators, as a smell, chromaticity and the ammoniacal nitrogen content. It was revealed excess of water muddiness to 41.3%, oxidability - to 4%, nitrites content- to 15.1% in relation to the specification during winter and spring periods. In water of a complex water-supply source the total iron content has exceeded norm in 16.3 times, on distance of 3 km from a pig-breeding complex - in 12 times, on distance of 12 km - in 7 times. It was revealed manganese content excess in water during all seasons in 1.1 - 2.9 times in relation to the specification. The low content of fluorine was noted in each water-supply source during all year seasons (47.5 - 90.0% from norm). Under the content of total coliform bacterium and thermotolerant coliform bacterium potable water in investigated sources mismatched standard requirements during the spring-and-summer period (0.14 - 3.05 pieces in 100 cm of water). The maximum content of thermotolerant coliform bacterium was noted during the summer period in all investigated sources. The high content of total microbial count in water of all water-supply sources was revealed.
