In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was examined the possibility of using rape (Brassica napus) seeds for the production of mixed fodder for poultry feeding. It was marked that rape had high energy value and made it possible to balance feeds by their amino acid composition. There were analysed physical and chemical properties of rape seeds of Lider, Zornyj and Yavar varieties. In course of the study there were compared rape, rape cake, soya and sunflower meal. These components were compared according to the content of protein, fat, according to amino acid composition and energetic value. There was presented a comparative characteristic of some rape varieties and rape cake. There was established the possibility of replacing rape cake and oil by rape seeds in combined fodder. It was necessary to peel rape for to increase its nutritional value. There was developed an experimental device for rape peeling. The main working organs of the experimental device were fixed deck and rotating finger. The efficiency of rape peeling by this device was 88%.
