In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the quality of legume-grass silo produced in mixture of a preserving agent dresser and there was determined its influence on productivity and quality of products of young fat cattle stock. For the supplementing the deficit in mineral and biologically active substances and for the increasing the full value condition of the applied forages there were developed the preserving and enriching agents on the basis of the national raw materials. Sapropel (organic slime) served as the basic component at manufacturing the preservatives. The following elements were included into composition of its organic part: humic acids, amino acids, monosaccharides and other biologically active substances proving the high level of sapropel action. At the same time, it enriched the silo by macro-and trace elements and others biologically active substances. Halite salt was included into additive structure. It possesses the preserving properties and increased the content of sodium and chlorine in forage. Preparation of a silo with the sapropelic fodder additive (SFA) made it possible to lower losses of dry substance (9,9-10,6%), a crude protein (13,7-14,9%), sugar (27,0-32,4%), carotin (20,5-22,9%). In 1 kg of dry substance of silos contains 9,31-9,36 MDj exchange energy and 89,3-89,5 g a protein. Feeding of high quality silos allows to raise energy of growth of young cattle on 5,9-6,5%, does not render negative influence on their lethal and meat qualities.
