In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus the studies of the effect of complex preparations, including cuticle, spirulina, vitamin С and selenium on the efficiency of calf rearing were performed by the example of newborn animals. This complex was intended to stimulate the productivity of calves, to improve the adoptive responses in ontogenesis, and to improve meat productivity. The studies found that administration of the analyzed preparations made it possible to increase live body weight, daily average and relative growth, meat productivity indicators. Tasting score indicated the absence of negative organoleptic characteristics of meat after application of the preparations. For example, the alive weight of experimental animals at 30-day age has increased for 5,0%, in 2-month-age - on 10,8%, in 3-month-age - on 9,0%. Daily average gain of alive weight during the same periods of husbandry have increased respectively by 11,0; 18,0; and 13,0%. Animals which were administrated with a complex of preparations showed the following indexes: the weight of fresh carcasses has authentically increased on 5,8%, slaughter weight - on 5,86%, meat yield - on 2,91%, weight of meat - on 9,68%, lower content of bone weight per carcass - on 10,75% in comparison with the specified characteristics of animals of the control group.
