Development of resource-saving technologies in agriculture of the Republic of Belarus supposes achievement of a new orbit of output of products and increase of quality of production. Precision farming appears one of the most efficient directions of agricultural development. Precision farming represents the process of crops productivity management with consideration for variability of plants' habitat. Otherwise, precision farming appears an optimal management of each production unit along with maximal profitability and cost-effective use of resources. The relevance of the introduction of precision farming into agricultural enterprises of the Republic of Belarus is substantiated in the article. The results of studies of precision farming introduction abroad are summarized and analyzed. The main quantitative characteristics (field area, length of furrow, average seeding rate, seed value) and the most important technological processes of grain and legume crops cultivation (fertilizer application, growth regulators utilization, cultivation, plowing) are evaluated. Economic efficiency and profitability of precision farming introduction is displayed, real benefit is calculated, and crop yield increase is mentioned. Practicability of precision farming development in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus is substantiated.
