In the conditions of farms of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the influence of adaptation process on reproductive function f animals, as well as there were presented results of analysis of changes of reproductive performance and reproductive ability of the Landrace breed sows of Canadian selection in a number of generations. Superiority of female breeds characteristics of the second generation of the parental forms and the effectiveness of a process of adaptation of animals to the new conditions was determined. It was revealed that the process of adaptation of the imported animals of Landrace breed was quite difficult, that was proved by indicators of reproductive traits of sows of initial generation. It was found that in all subsequent generations all indexes of reproductive traits from in comparison were higher on 0.3-0.8 in multiple fetation, in milkiness - on 20,1-22,5 kg, the number of piglets by weaning time - 2,0-2,2 heads, litter weight at weaning time - on 17-18,4 kg. This proved the efficiency of the process of adaptation of pigs of Landrace breeds of Canadian selection to new conditions.
