Molecular imprinting polymers （ MIPs ） has the characteristics of high selectivity, chemical stability, easy preparation, therefore it has been applied widely in the determination of pesticides residues. This paper summarizes the basic theories, the preparation and the characterization of molecular imprinting polymers, and reviews its application in the determination of pesticides residues, such as stationary phase of chromatography, solid phase extraction, solid phase microextration and sensor, and the prospect was also put forward.
