TRANSFERENCIA DE TECNOLOGÍA AGROPECUARIA EN LA FORMACIÓN DE VIVEROS FORESTALES DE PLANTAS NATIVAS. CAYAMBE, PICHINCHA. 2007

En la comunidad “Lote Cuatro”, Cayambe, Pichincha, se realizó la transferencia de Tecnología Agropecuaria en la Formación de Viveros Forestales de plantas Nativas con la colaboración de la Christian Reformed World Relief Comité, CRWRC ONG. Se realizó un Sondeo Rural Participativo, tomándose una muestra de veinticuatro personas de la comunidad “Lote Cuatro” que fueron seleccionadas según su grado de interés. Se utilizó la metodología de aprendizaje Escuela de Campo de Agricultores (ECAs), usando: Dinámicas de motivación, material audiovisual, boletines divulgativos, carteles, giras de observación en las instalaciones del Instituto de Ecología y Desarrollo de las Comunidades Andinas (IEDECA) y el concepto de aprender por descubrimiento. Las variables evaluadas fueron conocimiento, actitud y adopción. Para conocimiento el promedio general de respuestas correctas fue de 17.71% y al aplicar la escala adoptada dió una calificación regular de 1.47. La actitud de las personas se incrementó de 57.14 a 95.24%. El incremento de la adopción, se debió al mejoramiento del nivel de conocimientos, con un incremento de 67.71% de respuestas correctas y según la escala aplicada se obtiene una calificación de buena con 2.67, lo que se ratificó al aplicar la prueba “t” de student al 95% y al 99% de confiabilidad. Se concluyó que se adoptaron las tecnologías impartidas, logrando incentivar la producción de plantas nativas. Se recomienda dar seguimiento y proponer proyectos relacionados con la protección del páramo en las comunidades que por desconocimiento no hacen el uso sostenible de los recursos.

The technology transference on formation of forestall nurseries with native plants was carried out at plot four, Cayambe, Pichincha in collaboration with Christian Reformed World Relief Comite, CRWRC ONG. A participatory rural survey was conducted, using a sample of 24 persons from community “Plot Four”, selected according to their interest degree. The learning guide “Rural School for farmers” was used. Motivationdynamics, audio-visual material, informative brochures, banners, observation trip to the facilities of Institute of Ecology and Development of the Andean Communities and the concept of learning by discovery were used. The evaluated variables were knowledge, attitude, and adoption. The average of correct answer on knowledge was 17.71% and by adopting an arbitrary scale a regular score was obtained (1.47). The people’s attitude increased from 57.14 to 95.24%. The organization level also increased. Adoption at home was due to the improvement of knowledge level, which increased the correct answers to 67.71%, and according to the arbitrary scale corresponded to good (2.67), which was confirmed with the Student’s t test 95% - 99% of confidence. It was concluded that the taught technologies were adopted, and the production of native plants was fomented. It is recommended to follow up the process and propose projects related to highlands production in the communities, which do not make a correct and sustainable use of the natural resources due to their lack of knowledge.
