Production and evaluation of new Sunflower hybrids in zanjan

Using sunflower hybrids seed can play an important role in increasing production oil seeds production. Following the programmed of sunflower genetic material and in order to Production and evaluation of new sunflower hybrids in zanjan ,in 2005-6 crossing was done between 22 CMS and 7 Restorer lines .In 2007 ,23new genotypes together with Azargog and Armaviresky as checks, were evaluated in Lattice experiment in Khairabad (Zanjan) station. During the growth period, usual agronomic treatments were applied and some agronomic, morphological characteristics of these lines were recorded. After harvesting grain yield, 1000 Kernel weight and oil content of seeds were measured. Simple analysis of variance was done and means were compared using LSD method. Results showed that new combination are early maturity and had low plant height comparing with checks. Eight combination, showed high grain yield than Azargol. two combination ( A Ha T79-7 * R-232 with4227 Kg/h and A Ha T79-13* R-44 with1891 Kg/h, , had the highest and lowest grain yield .
