This research was conducted in order to distinguish of high yield alfaha, also for offering a distinct fertilizing formula, in statistical design of split plots, with four replications including major treatments of cultivars of aU`aUa, (local of salmas - a I , B0nabAbi - a2 , krysari - a3 , and Native - a4) and six minor treatments of amount of fertilizer (PZOS), based on effective ingrediens with levels of (b1=0 , b2=15 , bg =25 , b4=35 , b5=45 and b6=55 kg/ha) in the dry - land condition of Meshgin village located at Km. 50, North - west of Zanjan, with average rainfall of 372 mm; since 1371, lasting for 5 y_LII'S. ( Held of hay and hight of cultivars of alfaUa were measured since the 2nd year and I means, were compared statistically by Duncan 's method M In spite of non signqicant difference between main treatments, the local cultivar of alfalfa (Native) producted the highest yield, totaly 1959 kg/ha. during whole years of experiment and other mentioned cultivars i. e. Salmas, Krisari and Bonab Abi had average yield of 1630, 1491, 1441 kg/ha. resp. and it is interesting note that, yield of main = treatments during whole years were followed the same rank, with theexception of year I 1373, there were statistically signqicant difference (P0.05), and complex anahzsis of variance resulted significant dyfference (P0. 01) between minor treatments (application of fertilizers). ' In response to different fertilizers, the most yield of hay was related to fertilizer bg (45kg/ha effective ingredient) in whole years with average yied of 1871 kg/ha. and the least amount of hay yield was related to fertilizer b 1 (with out fertilizer) during whole years (excep. 1372), with average yield of 4 years, eyual to 1462 kg/ha. Considering to signi/icancy of means of intraction effects between major and minor treatments (A.B) , (P0.05) and test of mean, combination of local cultivar of aUab'a (native) with fertilizer respons of b_; (45 kg/ha. ejfective ingredient)i.e, treatment of a4b_; with the average yield of 2204 kg/ha based on descending ranked of means, was introduced as the most productive cultivar and fertilizer administration expected for native cultivar of agwe and ts advised for extention of cultivation in vast areas of dry land in the region, is of successj/ill results of the current research. A There were significant dyference between the yield of hay during diferent years of experiment so that in the 2nd yera (1374), hay yield has been the most amount with average yield of 2963 kg/ha. Of view point of growth of hay, The local Salmas cultivar with 53cm high; and Bonab-Abi and krysari with 49cm. hight were observed and actually, taller culrivars were those which produced higher yields. » The most growth of tall cultivars was related to the year 1375 (3nd year of harvesting) with 64cm high! and the least amount was related to year 1376 with 38cm hight.
