In order to compare 2 methods of drip and border irrigation on the growth of Mozafati date palm, an experiment was done in randomized complete block in 3 replications in Aziz Abad of Bam Research Station, from 1993. The treatments were: Border irrigation with 10 cm depth of water and time of irrigation 7days(A), Border irrigation with 15 cm depth of water and time of irrigation 7 days(B), drip irrigation with 60% evaporation from class A pan evaporation and time of irrigation each 3days(C), Drip irrigation with 80% evaporation from A class pan evaporation and time of irrigation each 3 days(D). Consideration of growth properties showed that the effect of irrigation treatments on height and leaves number of date palm is significant. The comparison of the means by Dankan manner for 3 years(1993-1995) showed that the most growth was seen in D treatment( The drip irrigation each 3 days and in amount of 80% evaporation from A pan class evaporation). The means of trees height in D treatment was 3.30m, in C treatment was 3.16m, in B treatment was 2.32m and in A treatment was 1.99m. Also the means of leaves lenth it D treatment was 2.57m, in C treatment was 2.47m, in B treatment was 1.95m and in A treatment was 1.84m and the means of leaves number it D treatment was 32, in C treatment was 31, in B treatment was 21 and in A treatment was 18. As far as in this experiment, the drip irrigation was cased the most growth factor in date palm trees in compare to border irrigation, and there is no difference betwin the drip irrigation treatments, so, the treatment of C(drip irrigation with 60% evaporation from class A pan evaporation and time of irrigation each 3days) in compare to the other treatments in growth factors is more suitable and it is introduced as the best treatment.
