Safe drinking water is one of the preconditions of good health and one of the basic health indicators in some country. Evidence of health indicators in drinking water from public supply systems in urban and semi-urban areas in the Republic of Serbia, is recorded in Public Health Institute. The aims of this competent paper are to demonstrate results and health aspects of chemical and microbiological drinking water quality from public water supply systems in Serbia from 2002 to 2011. The most common parameters of chemical incorrectness (iron, ammonia, amounts of organic matter, manganese, nitrites) are unchanged for years. For the assessment of the impact chemical parameters in drinking water on human health, according to indicators of the World Health Organization, it is necessary to conduct targeted epidemiological researches. The most common causes of microbiological incorrectness are mesophilic aerobic bacteria which do not impact on human health.
