The effect of DASAMAG fertilizer application was tested in the three-year (2009-2011) small-plot field experiment on locality Žabčice-Obora and Žabčice-Písky in southern Moravia. Different combinations of DASAMAG (ammonium nitrate and ammonium sulfate with magnesite) and LAD (ammonium nitrate with dolomite) were compared. Terms of application were the tillering and the beginning of stem elongation. The yield of winter wheat grain and its quality were heavily influenced by extreme differences between the monitored years. The increase of winter wheat grain yield after fertilization by DASAMAG was comparable with the yield on variant fertilized by LAD and it took from 37% to 38% on the site Obora and from 15% to 16% on sandy soils, respectively. The content of N-substances, gluten content and sedimentation value were increased by fertilization of all combinations of LAD and DASAMAG. Better results were achieved by the fertilisation by DASAMAG at the end of stem elongation. The increase of sedimentation value after this fertilisation by DASAMAG at the site Obora was statistically significant, which can be attributed to sulphur content in this fertiliser.
