Здійснено порівняння потенційної вологозабезпеченості озимої пшениці, ячменю і цукрових буряків, яку обраховано за параметрами грунтово-гідрологічних констант основних грунтів України, з фактичною вологозабезпеченістю (за даними багаторічних гідрометеоспостережень). Характерною ознакою зволоженості орних грунтів протягом вегетаційного періоду на території України є просторовий і часовий дефіцит продуктивної вологи, який зростає від західних провінцій на схід і південь, а також від початкових до наступних фаз вегетації.

Potential moisture supply of winter wheat, barley and sugar beet, calculated by the parameters of soil-hydrological constants of the dominant soils of Ukraine have been compared to the actual moisture supply (according to the long-term hydrometeorological supervision data). Spatial and time deficiencies of productive moisture, which increases from the Western territories to those at the East and South, and also from starting vegetation stages to the further ones, is the most typical feature of humidification of the arable soils during the vegetation period at the territory of Ukraine.
