Method validation of protein content in aquatic feeds was conducted at Inland Feed Research Institute Laboratory, Department of Fisheries. Protein content of reference materials were determined by using modified AOAC Method 2001.11 and ISO 5983-2 (weight approximately 0.3 g for all test samples) then compared with assigned value from certificate of analysis. Accuracy and precision showed an acceptable results at 95 percent CL (t sub(exp) LT t sub(crit)). Protein analysis in commercial shrimp feed by 2 analyst showed non-significant difference (p GT 0.05). Repeatability test of protein content of aquatic feeds with protein level range from 15-60 g/100 g showed HORRAT between 0.29-0.47 which meet the criteria of acceptable (HORRAT LT= 2). Moreover, proficiency testing programs by FAPAS (England) and Department of Science Service (Thailand) revealed the quality of test results of protein accepted within the criteria (Z-score LT= +- 2).
