The paper deals with the waste biomass which is of the most used nonconventional energy sources. The use of biomass as an energy resource plays an important role in achieving the objectives of the European Commission in relation to climate change. To thermal analysis we subjected mixtures of biomass containing different shares of waste straw, waste wood chips, waste wood pulp and waste bark. Data obtained through thermo-gravimetric analysis, differential thermal analysis, differential scanning calorimetry on combustible and kinetic indeces show that the most suitable method from environmental and financial point of view to generate energy is the burning of waste biomass.
