Among introduced species, representing the source of medicinal raw material in the Republic of Belarus specific place is occupied by Rhododendron bushes. Collection of Rhododendron is represented with 79 species with high biological potential. The most important direction of the research of Rhododendron in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus appears evaluation of the taxons with high content of active substances, influencing metabolism of living organisms. The article presents the research of the dynamics of accumulation of bioflavonoids and tanning materials in Rhododendron species. Genotypic differences in the content of bioflavonoids and tannins in the assimilating organs of evergreen and deciduous species of Rhododendron L. on the seasonal cycle of development in Belarus are established and taxa with the highest potential to their accumulation are identified. It is shown that during the growing season there is a significant depletion of tannins, catechins and flavonols in assimilating organs of evergreen species of Rhododendron L., in market enrichment of their own anthocyanins and leucantocyanins.
