In course of the research there was analyzed a seed production level of vegetable cultures. Its low level is a basic problem in Belarus. The national enterprises make 10-15% of seeds of vegetable cultures from total amount realization. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in Mogilev region in 2008-2010. As a result of realized research it was revealed, that a complete and efficient vegetable production was impossible without a well-established system to ensure high-quality seeds. Gross production of vegetables, their quality and the range depended on a level of development of seed farming. The main task of the Republic of Belarus lied in the fact that domestic production of vegetable seeds should be brought to the level of 70-80% of their needs. The remaining seeds were advisable to grow abroad.
