In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results of research into the efficiency of the use of combined silage from corn and Rumex K-1 in the rations of fattened young cattle. Rumex is a hybrid of spinach (Spinacia) and Rumex tianschanius Los. Research results showed that introduction of silage containing mixture of maize and Rumex K-1 in cattle diets made it possible to lower its energy value by 0.6-2.3%, and increase the content of crude protein by 7.6-42.0%. Extra economic profit was obtained.
