In course of the research there were studied the possible consequences of Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization for agriculture of Belarus, in particular sugar branch. The modern condition of sugar production in the Russian Federation in the condition of functioning within the limits of Common Economic Space was analyzed. Negative tendencies, characteristic for the sugar regime were revealed. Perspective directions of realization of sugar export potential of Belarus taking into account the revealed factors were investigated. Therefore it was revealed that the countries of Central Asia and South Caucasus were the basic direction of realization of potential of Belarus on sugar export. In the given regions, first, in the conditions of an arid climate it was more favorable to develop other branches of plant growing, and secondly, it was absolute not developed of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) processing.
