Ensuring of high level of competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in domestic and foreign markets in the system with other factors is determined by the saturation of operating entities with machinery and equipment facilitating the application of promising innovative technologies. Analysis of the situation with the maintenance of agricultural machinery in the Republic of Belarus on the basis of a comparison of calculated data on the need for machines and official statistical data about their presence clearly shows that on many issues, including priorities such as tractors, grain and forage harvesters in the structure of the park there is still a pronounced imbalance. Analysis of studies of the modern economy and trends in the development of agriculture leads to the conclusion that the primary objectives are to improve the technical equipment of production, efficiency of use of agricultural machinery and equipment, the organization of their services, the availability of human resources, including engineering and technical personnel.
