Fungal culture collection is stablished to maination those fungi can not be preserved in dried forms. This section was active since 1968. These fungi are preserved under controlled conditions at 7-15 Centigrade and are subcultured every 1-2 years. based on the requirments of the fungus they are preserved on agar slants, as lyophilized, undr mineral oil, in doil or in water. So far 293 species from 85 genera beloging to Basidiomycetes, Ascomycetes, Zygomycetes, Mitosporic Fungi and Oomycetes are preserved in the Fungus culture collection, a section of herbarium ministeli Iranici agriculture (Iran)
