Evalvation of yield of selected sesame lines

In this investigation 25 superior pure lines from last year expriments with Darab 14 variety as check in a 5*5 lattice design were compared. Germination date, early flowering date and harvesting, capsule per plant, lateral stem number, capsule per anle, fuzz situation, plant height, oil percentage and grain yield were recorded. combined variance analysis showed that the effect of variety and year * variety interaction on grain yield were significant in %1 probability. Lins No 1, 10 and 13 had thes highest yield (1904 , 1845 and 1844 kg/ ha respectively) and were significantly different with check. results showed that all of treatments were different in capsule per plant in %5 and lateral stem and oil percentage in %1. year * variety interaction on capsule per plant and oil percentage were not significant. 24, 6 and 18 treatments had the highest capsule per plant, oil percentage and lateral stems, 191. 36, 56. 73 and 4.4 respectively. lines 4, 3, 2, 1, 13, 21 and 22 were more tolerant than check to wilting disease. finally lines 1, 10, 13, 7, 15, 8, 2, 11 and 22 that wer superior from yield and othor characteristies selected for final yield comparison expriment.
