Every year powdery mildew is widespread disease in sugar beet growing area in iran. The damage of the disease is considerable. In order to evaluate resistance of the sugar beet varieties an experiment was conducted with 36 treatments in complete block design with 3 replication. In the end of July all of genotypes were evaluated for Disease severity based on disease seventy index. The results showed DSI in genotypes No 26 and 23 were lower than others. Genotypes No 1,2,3,4,5,8,32,24,19,25,17,11and 12 have 10 percent infection. Some characteristics such as root yield and sugar content in this experiment was not evaluated. In the second experiment the results showed DSI in genotype No 2,9 and 1 was 10,12.5 and 22 percent respectively. Root yield in genotype No 6,9 and 1 was 92.2,90.22 and 89.9 ton/Ha respectively. Lower root yield was in genotype No 3 with 77.55 ton/ha. High sugar content was in genotype No 3,9 and 4 with 15.96,15.06 and 15.05 percent respectively.
