Study of sheep and Goat Manegment in East Azarbaijan Province

In this project, all of the basic information which related to the procedure of herding, animal nutrition, combination and the flocks of sheep and goats reproduction, the apparent size of their production rate, hygiene and the problems of flocks have been reviewed. lnplementation approach of classified sampling project was random. In comparison with the sheep and goat flocks of urban w~jc;h, .Y.'~e _ 3Q~_60E13. cattles, only 318 samples were selected in all over The province the flocks information were received of flockmasters through field operation and registered in particular questionnaires. For each case, only 10% of mature livestock were measured. The importance of project is aquaintance with the possibilities,potential and actual abilities of herding in East Azarbaijan province. The objective of this study is to survey the approach of sheep and goat flocks breeding and mixed of them, their productions rates in breeding environment or field (in different areas of province) regarding the breed, stockman, nutrition ,the sort of productive crops, the present difficulties, power and weakness points(or advantage and disadvantage), collectintg information about apparent traits and primary identification in ordere to data presentation in future actions. The resultes of this project indicated that in province, the common herding carry out on the basis of three methods such as: tribal,semi-tribal,rural or resident and the main breeds includes: Gezei,Moghani breeds and Makoei sheep in some areas. The main problems of province stockmen are consist of expensiveness and also forage and pasture deficiency. Keywords:Herding - East Azarbijan - Sheep and Goat.
